2013
Huntsville moms Julie Moore and Tina Hamilton started Muskoka Mamas, a chip truck serving fresh-cut fries and poutine, cooking burgers on a small George Foreman grill.
2016
Julie revived the cart with a bigger grill and renamed it Smokin’ Hot BBQ, expanding the menu and bringing in her family, turning it into a full-fledged family-run smokehouse.

2016–2022
Operated from a scenic Highway 60 lot across from Kawartha Dairy, adding slow-smoked BBQ favorites like ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and more.
2023
Bought land next to Kawartha Dairy and partnered with The Muskoka Foundry to offer year-round service in Bracebridge with live music events. Mobile catering expanded for weddings, events, and reunions.

2024
Returned to Huntsville, now operating from the historic train station at 26 Station Rd while development continues on their Highway 60 site. Catering remains strong and is nearly fully booked for Summer/Fall 2024.
